CIMZIA®
CIMZIA® (Certolizumab pegol) is an anti-inflammatory drug used to treat various autoimmune diseases.
CIMZIA® is manufactured by UCB.
Administration and Dosage:
Administration of CIMZIA® follows an induction regimen of 3 subcutaneous injections bi-weekly followed by a monthly maintenance injection.
Indication:
CIMZIA® is indicated to treat:
- Moderate to Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Psoriatic Arthritis
- Ankylosing Spondylitis
- Moderate to Severe Crohn’s Disease
- Moderate to Severe Psoriasis
Common Side Effects:
CIMZIA® is a prescription medicine called a Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) block that may lower the ability of your immune system to fight infections. Some common side effects include developing serious infections like tuberculosis (TB) and infections caused by viruses, fungi, or bacteria that have spread throughout the body. These infections may cause hospitalization or death.
